Texts
Parallel to the four unique pieces, silkscreen on silk (130 x 100 cm), this group of work comprises also large-scale drawings on tracing paper as well as texts and the artist’s book „Mes Africaines“. The titles are chosen in reference to the book by Raymond Roussel «Impressions d’Afrique», first published in 1910 in Paris. Roussel’s texts have been a source of inspiration for the likes of Marcel Duchamps and Max Ernst.
«Plusieurs lisses, comprenant des fils verticaux ... formaient l‘une derrière l‘autre des plans perpenduculaires à la chaine qu‘elles traversaient de part en part.»
