I share most flaneurs predilection for the appropriation of visual incentives via the photo camera. And I am probably not alone having the dilemma of not knowing what to do with all the accumulated ‚treasures’. Some of Ernst Jandl’s savoury poems from Der Künstliche Baum & Flöda und der Schwan, provided a valuable pretext for using a selection of my photographs of ‚street art’ made in various european cities. The poems appear as the invaluable counterpoint of the urban walls’ graffiti and spray adornments.
